It was a great meeting – and HOWE! Dr. Murray Howe successfully invited us in to see the softer side of the greatest hockey player to ever play the sport. “What makes us great in life is not what we achieve, but rather, how much we love others, how much we give of ourselves.”
The guys were beyond enthusiastic to hear Dr. Murray Howe share stories about his “greatest player to ever play hockey” dad, and line up to get their personalized copy of “Nine Lessons I Learned from my Dad.”
Major Keith Bailey of the Salvation Army assured all how grateful he was for the large stack of warmth we provided. Perhaps the local need is something of which we were not aware. Good guys doing good stuff.
